The FUJI Z30 is a very small and stylish point and shoot camera. The FUJI Z30 has a 1/2.3-inch CCD imaging processor which has a 10.0 megapixel resolution. The FUJI Z30 has a Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens, F3.7 (Wide) – F4.2 (Telephoto). The aspect ratio of the lens is 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9.

The FUJI Z30 stores images in JPEG format. The camera does not have a vast inbuilt memory. The memory however can be expanded using a SD / SDHC memory card. The maximum capacity of the slot is 32 GB. The LCD present on the FUJI Z30 is a 2.7-inch TFT LCD with 230,000-pixels. There is TTL Autofocus Contrast – detect. There is a combined mechanical as well as an electronic shutter. The FUJI Z30 is equipped with a fast processor and the shutter speed is 3 seconds – 1/1000 second.

There are different types of self timers. There is a couple timer and there is also a group timer and the delay is 2 sec – 10 sec. There are Automatic modes like Scene recognition, Intelligent Face Detection with red-eye removal, high-speed shooting, best framing and frame number memory. There is also a built in flash in the FUJI Z30 which has options like red – reduction, fill in, auto and off. The Flash range is 2.3 – 10.1 feet (70cm – 3.1m). The FUJI Z30 has an ISO Sensitivity ranging from 64 – 1600. The camera might not giver very good results when there is low sun light.

There are great playback options like Intelligent Face Detection, micro thumbnail, multi-frame playback, sort-by-date, trimming for blog, blog effects, cropping (still pictures and movies), slide show, transition, image rotation and voice memo. The FUJI Z30 can also be used directly to connect to a printer and print pictures.

The FUJI Z30 is powered by a lithium Ion rechargeable battery. The efficiency of the camera in terms of battery usage is not up to the mark. Completely charged battery will not last you even till 150 photographs which is very poor compared to other cameras in its range. There is also a video recording mode in the camera which records AVI movies with the resolution of 640 x 480 with a speed of 30 frames per second. The FUJI Z30 also has a microphone as well as a speaker.

The FUJI Z30 has a very nice playback effects and settings and the body is also small and compact, still is equipped with a decent zoom. The shape of the camera is a bit awkward and so the camera does not provide a good grip. The buttons are also not so good to use. Moreover there are no manual controls in the camera. The Price of the FUJI Z is Rs.10000/- approx. The FUJI Z30 camera is not a very good one compared to the other ones in the same category.

The FUJI S2000 HD is a super zoom camera launched in the camera by Fuji. The S2000 HD is a professional camera with a 10 megapixel CCD imaging sensor and 15x optical zoom. The camera’s zoom is really very powerful. The camera even after 15 x zoom giver very sharp and clear pictures which is not the case in many other cameras. The FUJI S2000 HD has a dual image stabilization which reduces the blur in the images due to the shaking of hands.

The FUJI S2000 HD is the very first camera from FUJI that can do both capture stills as well as record videos. The FUJI S5000 HD records HD movies at a resolution of 1280 x 720. The resolution of the video is awesome and the video clarity is also very good. The FUJI S2000 HD can directly be connected to a TV and the images and videos can be viewed on the screen. The Camera while connected to the TV can be operated by a remote control. This feature is really amazing.

The ISO in FUJI S2000 HD is only 1600 and they claim the camera to be a high ISO camera. The other NIKON and CANON professional cameras have their highest ISO at 6400 which is 4 times more powerful. The FUJI S2000 HD takes 0.42 seconds to click a single picture and 12.23 seconds to click 5 pictures. The operating efficiency of the camera is not very good. The camera also lags at some occasions.

The Dimensions of the FUJI S2000 HD are 111 x 78.9 x 75.7mm. The weight of the camera is approximately 380 gm. The camera being a professional one, the weight is comparatively lighter. The camera body is made of plastic and the shape of the camera provides a good grip and a greater stability while clicking pictures,

There is a 3 inch LCD screen on the back with a resolution of 230000 pixels. The buttons are neatly placed besides the screen and are very nicely labeled. The FUJI S2000 HD is powered by 4 AA sized alkaline batteries. The FUJI S2000 HD has an inbuilt memory of 55 MB which can store approximately 50 photographs. There is an expansion slot provided which is compatible with SD and SDHC memory cards. The camera is an extremely user friendly camera and even the first timers will not have a problem using this camera. The FUJI S2000 HD also has an electronic viewfinder on it which has 100% accuracy.

The FUJI S2000 HD Price is Rs.13000/- (approx). The camera is not one of the greatest one in the super zoom market and there are so many other models, that the each of them need something outstanding to get noticed. The FUJI S2000 HD has nothing so great except the price. But if you are spending so much then why not spend a bit more and get more value for your money in return?

Fuji has always been known for its ability to produce quality products at attractive prices. The A303 is a part of the Fuji’s Finepix digicam line which comprises of portable cameras providing quality pictures. A303 is the first digicam created by Fuji which accepts the new xD-Picture Card.

The Finepix weighs 7.1 ounces thus making it compact enough to be carried around from one place to another. The low weight is mostly due to the acceptance of xD-Picture Card, which is the smallest memory card format available currently. Having dimensions of 3.8 x 2.5 x 1.4 inches the A300 has almost a plain rectangular shape when the lens is retracted thus allowing it to be easily fitted in to a pocket. The A300 has a 3x zoom lens which is equivalent of a 35-114mm zoom on a 35mm camera and can provide images with a maximum resolution of 2,048 x 1,536-pixels.

The camera offers a maximum aperture of f/2.8-f/4.8 while the focus ranges between 2 feet to infinity in normal mode and 3.9 inches to 2.6 feet with macro settings. The A303 provides a real-image optical viewfinder and a 1.5-inch LCD monitor. The optical viewfinder is by no means great while the LCD monitor does provide good results. 3.2x digital zoom is also provided along with 3x optical zoom by the A303. One has an option of displaying an alignment grid which helps taking snaps of tricky subjects by dividing the screen into thirds both, horizontally and vertically.

The A303 provides both auto mode and manual mode but even in manual mode nothing much can be done with the exposure settings, which remain under automatic control. The manual menu just adds the Exposure Compensation and White Balance options. The A303 LCD displays very minimum information and things such as shutter speed and lens aperture are not shown. The shutter speed has a range of 1/2,000 to 1/2 second, and the aperture has a range of f/2.8 to f/11.6. TTL (through-the-lens) 64-zone metering system is used by A303 to provide the best exposure by taking average readings throughout the frame and then using the best one for the entire picture. Auto setting is one of the options that are present in the White balance criteria along with others such as Outdoors, Shade, Daylight Fluorescent, Warm White Fluorescent, Cool White Fluorescent, and Incandescent presets.

Depending on the amount of zoom being used, the built in flash can work effectively between ranges of 1 to 11.5 feet. The different modes available are Auto, Red-Eye Reduction, Forced, Suppressed, or Slow-Synchro modes. The A303’s self timer option when activated waits for 10 seconds before taking the photograph which is useful especially during self-portraits or group photos.

One place where most of the Fuji cameras falter is the movie capturing mode and the A303 is no different. It allows a maximum resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and no sound. The other resolution that can also be applied is 160 x 120 pixels and time of video depends on the amount of memory available along with the type of resolution being used. Basically one can record video up to 1minute while using the 320 x 240 resolution and this increase to 3 minutes if 160 x 120 pixels are in use.

The A303 comes with a 16 MB internal memory but due to its maximum resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels one would require to buy a xD-Picture Card for utilizing the maximum benefits that the A303 can provide. Two AA-type batteries are required to power up an A303 and the camera comes with an optional AC adapter.

To sum it all up the A303 is basically meant for novices with most of its features controlled automatically by the camera itself. In context of the picture quality the A303 does justice by providing decent pictures in the day and at night.

The E900 is one camera which would appeal to both sets of masses, one who take photography seriously and the other who want to own a camera to capture all precious moments in life. The E900 has a 4x optical zoom and is a 9 mega pixel digital camera. The best feature that E900 offers is the choice between manual mode and automatic mode which lets the photographer decide the level of control he or she wants on the photo to be taken.

The E900 weighs around 200 grams and has dimensions of 102 x 63 x 34.4mm. This has a small and compact design with features closely packed together. The design is pleasing to the eyes and its light weight makes it easier to carry around from one place to another. The shape of the camera helps to hold the E900 steadily while taking shots.

Although nothing special the E900 provides decent pictures to say the least. The outdoor shots are decent and the colours are vibrant and natural. Sharpness in maintained through the picture although one might notice a purple fringing occur when the zoom lens is fully in use. The indoor shots are also not bad but again nothing special. The colour tones and sharpness is maintained nicely in the pictures. You might find red eye even though the E900 employs a pop up flash unit. One has to make use of the auto focus illuminator to focus properly and quiet frankly without it the photos are just not sharp enough. Close ups falter to some extent when taken from the E900 with the lack of sharpness and the purple fringing factor again coming into play. ISO handling capability of the E900 is good and better than most of the other cameras of the same range.

The E900 takes half a second to take a photo and 5.49 seconds to take five shots one after the other. The 4x optical zoom has a focal length equivalent to 32 – 128mm in 35mm format. F2.8 – F5.6 is the maximum aperture available. The E900 has a 2″ LCD screen and an optical viewfinder both of which can be used to while taking pictures. The flash has a range of 3.7m which falls to 1.9m when zoomed. One impressive feature of E900 concerning flash is that it can be adjusted. Different flash modes available are Auto, Red-eye Reduction, Forced Flash, Suppressed Flash, Slow Synchro, Red-eye Reduction + Slow Synchro. A self timer option is also available which can be set at 2 seconds or 10 seconds depending on the photographer’s needs. One can also make use of the voice memo feature which can be added to a picture and has a maximum time limit of 30 seconds. The sharpness can be adjusted along with options such as photo modes and focusing options. Natural Light, Portrait, Sports and Night Scene are the various scene modes available for the user to choose from. Shutter speed varies between 15 seconds and 1/2000 seconds. ISO settings available are 80, 100, 200, 400 and a maximum of 800. The white balance settings that can be used are Automatic, Fine, Shade, Fluorescent, Incandescent and Custom.

The E900 has video recording option and offers a maximum resolution of 640 x 480. 30 frames pre second gives boost to the quality of the video. Sound can be recorded along with the video and the size of the movie depends upon the amount of amount of memory available. The zoom feature as in most of the other Fuji cameras cannot be used while recording videos. Images are stored in RAW or JPEG format. If required we can shoot up to 40 photos at a maximum speed of 0.6 seconds pre frame. The E900 can be connected to television sets and computers for viewing of pictures and videos.

The E900 requires two AA batteries and has internal memory of 16 MB is available. One can buy xD cards, which increases the memory of the camera thus allowing the storage of more photos and longer video clips.

The E900 is an excellent choice if you are looking for a compact looking digital camera which has some good high end technologies along with a high resolution of nine mega pixels.

The A500 is a no nonsense camera which will be dearly appreciated by those who want to own a digital camera without paying a fortune for it. The basic purpose of this is taking snaps and if you are looking for high end technologies then you might not be too impressed with the features it provides.

The A500 is a 5 mega pixel camera with 3x optical zoom and 5.2x digital zoom feature. There are no manual controls and the camera has a small 1.8-inch LCD screen. Having dimensions of 93 x 60 x 27.5mm and weighing 140g the A500 has a solid feeling to it. One might not be happy with the finishing of the product by putting rubber covers for the A/V, USB, and DC ports thus taking away some of the solid feel that the A500 provides. Having a rectangular shape this camera comes in a shiny silver colour.

The photo quality might leave you disappointed to some extent. Even thought the A500 might not be the most expensive camera but still as compared to its competitors of the same range the pictures taken can be described best as average. One might experience purple fringing while taking shots and the outdoor shots might lack sharpness. Focusing could be a cause of concern as at times it drifts away from the center. The colours produced by the A500 are vibrant and soothing to the eyes. While taking shots during low lighting conditions the A500 struggles with the focusing of the object to be shot and red eye criteria might also be a cause for concern. While taking shots in the macro mode the situation dose not improve with the pictures not being properly focused and not sharp enough. The camera does redeem itself to some extent when the ISO 400 is used to lighten up shots which otherwise might have come out dark. Though the photos are still not up to the mark but they are better than those taken in other conditions.

Unlike some of the other cameras of this range the A500 does have a view finder which helps while taking pictures under sunlight. The flash can work up to a maximum range of 3.1m. The different flash modes available are Auto, Red-eye Reduction, Forced Flash, Suppressed Flash, Slow Synchro and Red-eye Reduction + Slow Synchro. Portrait, Landscape, Sports and Night Scene are the different scene modes that one can choose from while taking a picture. These options when chosen help the camera to take the snap under the settings closely resembling the particular conditions. The A500 has a self timer which delays the shots for 2 seconds or 10 seconds depending upon the photographers need. Features such as aperture size, shutter speeds, exposure compensation, ISO sensitivity and white balance are all controlled by the camera itself. The shutter speed of the A500 varies between ranges of 2 to 1/1500 seconds and the aperture size has a range of F3.3 to F5.5. The maximum ISO that can be used is ISO 400. One can also make use of ISO 100 and ISO 200 if required.

One can record movies in two resolutions of 320 x 240 and 160 x 120. Depending on the resolution being used and the amount of memory available the length of the video is determined. Basically for 320 x 240 one can record up to 1 minute and with 160 x 120 this time goes up to 3 minutes. Zoom cannot be used while recording videos and there is no sound recording technique. One can connect to various devices such as computers and printers by the help of A/V, USB, and DC ports available in the camera.

Two AA batteries are required to run the camera and the A500 has 12 MB of in built memory. The A500 is compatible with xD Picture Cards which can be used to increase the memory of the camera.

If you are just looking to buy a digital camera at low cost without having any thoughts of picture quality then you might want to take a look at the A500 but if you are a photographer looking for a camera with good picture taking capabilities then you might want to keep away from the A500 because this is just not your type.

Simplicity is the best adjective that possibly defines A700 the closest. Photo taking has never been this easier. Like any of the other Fuji A range of digital cameras the A700’s basic aim is to provide pictures without any complicated button pressing or picture settings to be made.

The biggest positive of the camera is its weight. The A700 weighs as less as 5 ounces without the battery and media thus allowing people to carry it around and easily photograph with it in one hand. Has a 3x optical zoom along with a 6.3x digital zoom option. The A700 has a 2.4″ LCD screen and the lens has a focal length equivalent to 36 – 108mm in 35mm format. The A700 has a part metal, part plastic case and comes in a matt silver colour.

As you might have guessed by now the number of buttons on the A700 is kept to a minimum and the price as low as it gets. This possibly is the least costing 7 mega pixel camera available in the market currently. In spite of the lowest price tag A700 does provide some pretty decent pictures. The colours are vibrant and sharp for the outdoor shots but its limitations are exposed when the sun is shinning on coloured objects. This basically leads to parts of the object not pictured properly. When zoomed, the A700 does a respectable job in terms of picture taking quality. The camera struggles to some extent when the lighting conditions are low and fails to deliver a quality picture. Indoor photos taken by the A700 can surprise you by its quality. It performs better than what some of its competitors would have and provides a picture with commendable brightness and sharpness. The maximum ISO that a user can make use of in the A700 is ISO 400. Though limited with the number of options in this field the A700 still provides decent picture quality when the ISO 400 is used. It also has a macro mode which might not provide the best shots ever seen but is still good enough considering the price tag.

The A700 takes around 0.30 seconds for a single photo without the flash being turned on and 0.47 seconds with the flash. The response time is good while taking a single photo but it goes down drastically when taking a set of quick shots one after the other. 17 seconds for five photos with no flash on and 20 seconds when flash is in use. To have better picture quality one can choose from options such as Portrait, Landscape, Sport and Night Scene. Flash modes available in A700 are Auto, Red-eye Reduction, Forced Flash, Suppressed Flash, Slow Synchro, Red-eye Reduction + Slow Synchro. Flash unit works up to 3.8m when zoom lens not in use. Also has a self timer using which the photographer can take the picture after a maximum delay of 10 seconds. The A700 dose not have a manual mode and controls the shutter speed and aperture automatically. F2.8 – F8 and F5.2 – F14 are the ranges in which the aperture works. The shutter speed works between 2 and 1/1600 seconds. The ISO levels available are ISO 100, ISO 200 and ISO 400. White Balance is also one feature that is available in the A700. The A700 allows movies to be recorded at a maximum resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The length of the movie can be a maximum of 1 minute. This can go up to 3 minutes if the movie is being shot at a resolution of 160 x 120 pixels. No zoom can be used and the frame rate is a low 10 per second which deeply affects the quality of the movie. Audio recording can also be done on the A700.

USB is supported by the A700 thus allowing the transfer of all the pictures and videos to the computer with ease. USB and A/V out sockets do not have covers hence making it susceptible to dust. Two AA batteries are required to run the camera and has a 12 MB internal memory. If required XD Picture cards can be used to increase the memory of the camera.

Thus, the A700 at an extremely reasonable price provides a digital camera with decent picture quality and surely worth the money. But it does show its limitations in the video recording department more than anywhere else. So if you want to own a digital camera at the lowest price possible then you might want to check out the A700 but don’t be surprised with its lack of video quality and high end functions available in the other digital cameras now a days.

The E510 is a simple functioning camera having some advanced features. This one is not really a photographer’s delight kind of camera but more of a capturing precious moment’s kind. The one thing about E510 which deserves a special mention is its lens design which provides it with a wider view thus allowing it to cover more places in a single picture than any other camera of its range.

The E510 is made up of a mixture of metal and plastic and does not have a quality feeling about it. The camera has dimensions of 101.0 x 60.5 x 32.6 mm and weighs around 170 grams. A 3X optical zoom lens which starts at 28 mm helps E510 to provide wider angel shots. The E510 comes equipped with a 2″ LCD screen which helps while viewing of the pictures and menus. The LCD screen is sharp, clear and shows 96% of the frame. Monitor brightness can also be adjusted but the LCD still fails during low light conditions as it dose not gain up automatically during such situations unlike some of the other cameras of the same range. The optical view finder shows around 80% of the frame but as it lacks a diopter correction knob, it fails to focus on the object you are looking at.

The different modes can be accessed by the dial present on top of the camera. The fully automatic mode can be used, if the photographer is not sure of the different factors such as exposure and sharpness etc. Manual mode allows complete control over the picture. Buttons are present to perform operations such as zoom, selection of macro/close up mode or to turn on flash. Menu selection is easy to find and access, with the only menus available are the ones required during the particular shooting mode.

Taking photographs outdoor provides good results with the picture having good brightness and the colours vibrant though the same results are not achieved when the pictures are taken indoors. The camera does struggle to some extent in low lighting conditions. One can also make use of pre programmed scene mode for improving the picture quality. The pop up flash unit is effective and helps when the light conditions are dim. The close up and macro shots can at most be described as average.

One can make use of the different scene modes available which include Portrait, Landscape, Sports and Night Scenes. This helps the camera to adjust to different lighting conditions based on the scene mode chosen. The flash present on top of the camera has a range of four meters and is especially effective when the light is low. The various flash modes available are Automatic, Red eye Reduction, Forced Flash, Suppressed Flash (Slow Synchro, Red eye Reduction + Slow Synchro in manual mode).

One place where this camera fails is the video recording mode. One can record at a resolution of 320×240 for 1 minute and this can be increased up to 3 minutes when the video is recorded at a resolution of 160×120. This can be connected to a computer for transferring of pictures and videos by the help of USB. The E510 has a support for A/V out, USB (1.1), and DC-in and has I/O ports for it on the left hand side of the camera.

One of the best features of E510 is the complete control of a photographer over a picture through the manual mode. The Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority modes are also present in the E510. If the post-shot review feature is not turned on then the camera takes 1.5 second between shots. One place where the E510 does falter is the lack of delete option immediately after the photo has been taken, for deleting one must enter the playback mode.

One would find some menus locked, to unlock them one has to enter into the manual mode. The E510 works with two AA batteries. External memory cards can be used to increase the memory of the camera thus allowing more pictures and videos to be stored. xD Picture cards are used for storing purposes.

The E510 is extremely impressive when it comes to outdoor shooting but falls short when used indoors. In respect to the price tag it seems just about right considering the large LCD screen and the simplicity it provides.

The S602 is a newer version of Fuji’s 6900. The S602 employs the 6X optical zoom, electronic viewfinder, and full manual controls features of 6900 and adds some new high end features to them. The S602 is the first camera which is designed by Fuji and makes use of the 3rd Generation Super CCD.

The camera has dimensions of 4.8 x 3.2 x 3.8 inches and weighs around 500 grams when completely empty. The S602 is not one that can be carried around in your pocket due to its large size but it does work well with respect to handling while taking photographs. The body of the S602 is a mixture of metal and plastic giving it a solid and professional look.

The S602 has a 6X optical zoom lens and the F2.8 lens is having a focal range of 7.8 – 46.8 mm. An infrared auto focus-assist sensor is a new feature present in the S602 which is used for general focus and this is followed by the regular contrast-detection AF system being used for any more adjustments that might be necessary. The S602 has a pop up flash which has a range of 0.3 – 5.4 m in wide-angle and 0.9 – 5.0for telephoto. This also has an electronic view finder and a 0.44″ LCD screen. The basic advantage of the electronic view finder is that we see what the CCD sees and we can also obtain information about the photograph which might be absent in a normal view finder. The disadvantage though is the quicker loss of battery.

The manual mode uses a feature called as manual check feature which would scale the image up so that one can view the image more precisely on the LCD screen. There are different modes available thus allowing the user decide the level of interaction he or she wants to have with the camera while the photo is being taken. If the full auto mode is used then the camera takes most of the major decisions except for some like whether the flash is to be used or not, self timer etc. If one wants to have more control then the program mode can be used which would give you an option of choosing the exposure settings and if not comfortable then you can allow the camera to choose it as well. The full manual mode gives you complete freedom, by allowing you to decide on factors such as shutter speed and aperture thus giving you the complete control over the photograph. The shutter speed has range between 3 sec – 1/1000 sec and the aperture ranges between F2.8 – F11.

The different scene position modes available are portraits, landscapes, action shots, night scenes, and black & white. The S602 has a shift button which allows quick changing of settings such as quality, ISO, Photometry, White Balance, Self-timer and LCD brightness. The camera has I\O ports for USB and A/V to view pictures and videos on Television and computer. The camera has a variety of ISO settings that can be used which includes ISO 160, ISO 400, ISO 800 and ISO 1600. The various white balance modes available are Auto, custom 1, custom 2, sunlight, shade, fluorescent and incandescent. One can also control the sharpness of the photo by the help of three options available which include Normal, soft and hard.

Looking at the image quality provided by the S602 the shots taken at night are good with minimum “Hot pixels” but there might be some noise present. Two macro modes are available with the S602 one being the regular one and the other is the super macro mode. The pictures in both the modes are better than average with the colours being vibrant and sharp. This has a red eye reduction feature which helps in reducing the effects of red eye in the picture. The photos come out well even with the flash turned on.

The video recording quality of the S602 is quiet simply brilliant. This allows video to be taken in 604 x 480 resolution and captures the back ground sound as well. The length of the video is dependent on the amount of memory available. The only problem with the recording mode of the S602 is the inability to use the zoom while filming. It comes with a 16 MB of internal memory and one can record up to 13 seconds in 640 x 480 resolution and 27 seconds in 320 x 240 resolution. You can also add video caption having a time limit of 30 seconds to any photo.

The S602 is a camera that would be dearly appreciated by the novices and semi-professionals alike. Good picture quality and manual mode option are some of its features that would make it a hit among the masses. Even with minor disadvantages such as noise and some playback mode features missing the S602 is surely one the best in its range.
