<p>The Panasonic FS12 has a 12.7 megapixel, 1/2.33 &quot; (6.13 x 4.60 mm, 0.28 cm²) CCD imaging sensor with a pixel density of 43 MP/cm². The ISO speed of the camera is same as the FS15. It ranges from 80 – 1600 in normal mode and 1600 – 6400 with boost. There is also an auto ISO mode in the Panasonic FS12. The zoom is 29mm wide which is more than the other cameras in the same range. The digital zoom is 4x and optical zoom is 5x. The camera features a Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens which is very good. </p>

<p>The Panasonic FS12 is equipped with a TTL Auto Focus which is absent in the other cameras in the series. The camera also has an optical image stabilization mode which reduces blur in the images. This much required feature is absent in the other FS series cameras like FS42. There is 4 positions plus manual White balance. The aperture range is F3.3 &#8211; F5.9. The Shutter speed is 1 / 2000 – 60 sec. There is an inbuilt flash which has different options like Auto, Red – eye reduction, Forced On and Forced Off. There are also intelligent multiple metering modes. </p>

The Panasonic FS12 supports an SD, MMC as well as SDHC memory cards for expansion. The built – in memory is of a mere 50 MB within which you can store around 70 pictures. </p>

There are other features like Face Detection and AF track in the camera which are absent in the other ones. The Panasonic FS12 is available at a market price of <strong>Rs.10500</strong>. The camera is an extremely good option and the camera is priced reasonably well. The features are also good for a beginner. The Panasonic FS12 is a good buy.</p>

The ISO speed of the camera is 40 – 6400. The camera has great results when it is in good sunlight and it also delivers good results even in damp lights thanks to a higher ISO speed. There is a built in flash. The range of the flash is 6.3m. There are different modes like Auto, Off, Red – eye reduction and slow sync. There is -2 to +2 EV in 1/3 EV Steps exposure metering in the camera. </p>

The battery that powers the camera is a Lithium-Ion NP-20 battery. The battery is the same that is used by FS42 and FS62.</p>
