Kodak P880
The KODAK Performance series was launched by KODAK in 2005 with a view to providing entry for the DSLR’s. The KODAK P850 and P880 were launched in this series. The KODAK P880 is an 8.3 MP camera with a fast 24/140 mm wide-angle lens. The KODAK P880 is made up of Plastic and the KODAK P880 Dimensions are 116 x 97 x 91mm (4.5 x 3.8 x 3.6 inches). The weight of the camera is 513gms and it fells a little bulky when held in hand. The KODAK P880 has a very good look when it is held in hand.
The KODAK P880 can be used to click pictures as well as to record movies. The movies are recorded in QUICK TIME movie formst. The movies can be recorded as per the capacity of the camera. The Camera has a 32MB in-built memory and this memory can be expanded using the MMC / SD card to expand the memory. The Kodak P880 is powered by a KODAK RECHARGEABLE Li-Ion KLIC-5001 high power battery. The efficiency of the battery is very bad. The battery lasts till 285 clicks and 6 hours of playback time in a single charge. The Kodak batteries are known to be efficient and they do not last you for a longer period of time. You have to charge your camera again and again after some time due to the inefficiency of the camera. The Camera takes around 3 hours to get completely charged.
The KODAK P880 is compatible with the EASYSHARE software’s and printer docks from docks. You can create different albums in the camera while watching the pictures that you have clicked which is very smart. The KODAK P880 has a Schneider-KREUZNACH VARIOGON 5.8X optical zoom lens. These lenses are very good. It has advanced 2x digital zoom. The KODAK P880 has a 2.5’’ LCD Display which has 115000 pixels. The viewfinder is electronic and has 237000 pixels and = 95% coverage. There are different scene modes like sports, sunset, backlight, candlelight, text/document, manner/museum, snow and beach. There are also different color modes, sharpness modes and contrast modes. You can rotate the photographs, and edit them in the camera at the same time.
There are many effects to add to your pictures to enhance them. The KODAK P880 has TTL-AF, hybrid AF external passive sensor, low light AF: high performance with AF assist light auto focus. There is a built in flash with options like auto, slow sync fill flash, fill, off, red-eye reduction with flash and algorithm, or both.
The KODAK P880 in all is a good camera but the price at which it is offered is too high. The KODAK P880 Price in India is Rs.25000 approx. If you want to spend such a huge amount then why not spend it on a much better CANON DSLR which have versions offered at a similar price range.
