Sony Cyber Shot DSC- H7

Sony Cyber Shot DSC- H7 is another addition to Sony’s Digital line of digital camera. This camera is followed is by Sony’s super zoom model Sony Cyber-Shot DSC- H9. DSC-H7 has many similar features to DSC-H9, yet it is cheaper than the new model. This camera has a wide angle for mega zoom, tons of manual as well as automatic features, which helps taking fast and continuous shooting.

DSC-H7 offers 8.1 Mega Pixel zoom, giving you indeed very good close-up shots. The Carl Zeiss Vario- Tessar lens gives 15X optical zoom and 25X HD digital zoom. Both these features give excellent details to the picture. The Advances Sports Mode has a very high shutter speed and makes it easy to capture fast moving objects as it responds more quickly to rapid motion. Thus, making DSC- H7 ideal to capture any kind of sporting events. Image Stabilization feature gives steady shots; one can capture great details without shake distortion. This feature is quite appreciated by many users. The face detection feature operates in automatic mode as it uses automatic focus and you have no control over which face it selects.

The DSC-H7 offers similar features to its new counterpart DSC-H9 like, atypical set of manuals, semi manuals and automatic exposure options. DSC H7 has a new scroll wheel, which is very easy. The LCD screen in this camera is fixed 2.5 inches. Other features in this camera are 9 Point Auto Focus giving you freedom to compose your image the way you want it. D-Range optimization is powered by Sony Bionz high speed processing engine, exclusive to Sony. This gives great results to take images in even most difficult conditions. DSC-H7 also has an in built camera retouching features, where you can various effects to your image.

This camera comes along with 31 MB internal memory, memory stick duo media, MPEG – movie VX fine mode and HD output device. DSC-H7 has amazing battery power. They no longer come in AA batteries; in fact they use Lithium ION battery. This allows you to take up to 250 shots when fully charged and it can last up to whole weekend. Users do not have to worry about charging the camera every time after it is used.

This camera has a plastic body and comes in a stunning black color. The weight of the camera is approximately 514g including the battery and optional memory stick duo media. DSC H7 also has other standard features like inbuilt microphone speaker, self timer, red-eye reduction, USB Ports, supplied software, compatible with operating systems, scene mode, in-camera editing and 1 year limited warranty.

Most of the features in DSC-H7 are similar to DSC-H9. There are few differences like, the DSC-H7 does not have Sony’s Night shot infrared mode and it does not have a 3 inches wide flip-up LCD screen. DSC-H9 offers 12 MP zoom which is little bit more than DSC-H7.

DSC-H7 is a great affordable camera with almost identical features to it’s new counterpart at a cheaper price.
